Frequently Asked Questions

How do I utilize the services of Pets at Peace?

Whether your pet passes at home or at a scheduled appointment with your veterinarian, we are here to help you. Simply call us at (205) 467-7695 and we will make arrangements. Our first question to you will be "Who is your veterinarian"?

How is my pet transported back to the cremation facility?

Your pet will be gently placed into one of our vehicles and then driven back to our cremation facility in Pelham.

How long will it take to get my pet's cremains back?

We guarantee to have your pet's cremains available for return to you within 5 to 7 business days from time of drop off at our Pelham location. Service time through your Veterinarian will vary and they will call you. Special orders will be slightly longer. Custom items and jewelry can take up to 3 weeks.

Can I choose a different urn other than the ones which are provided with the cremation packages?

Yes. We have a large selection of urns to choose from on our website and would be happy to assist you in choosing the perfect urn for your pet.

How will I know when my pet is ready to be picked up?

Your veterinary clinic will contact you when your pet is ready to be picked up.

Why should I trust Pets at Peace with the aftercare of my pet?

Pets at Peace is a company built on trust, credibility, and compassion. We service several community veterinarians and have provided services to thousands of pet parents over the years. Our reputation is built on providing quality service at affordable prices.  All employees at Pets at Peace are dedicated to the proper treatment of the animals they care for and are hired, in part, based on the prior life experiences with animals. Our goal is to raise the standard in the pet cremation industry and to exceed the expectations of our customers.

Can I utilize the Pets at Peace service no matter who my veterinarian is?

Yes. As a customer, you have the right to pick whichever pet aftercare service company you desire. Simply tell your veterinarian you wish to have Pets at Peace pick up your pet or you may even call us directly and allow us to make the necessary arrangements. Do your homework! Some crematories in the area return pets back in a tin can or velvet bag. A paw print and lock of hair may not be included in their cremation package.

Can I make arrangements with Pets at Peace to handle the aftercare of my pet before
my pet actually passes on?

Yes. Simply call us  and your veterinarian so that we can make the necessary arrangements. When the time comes to take care of your pet, we already have the information needed.
